Three clocks in Alabama. We draft. You approve. We send. Local counsel still reviews the first packet. We do not practice law in Alabama.

Quorum
Follow the declaration + 35-8A
Alabama has no statewide open-meeting act for HOAs. Condo associations follow the Alabama Uniform Condominium Act (§35-8A). HOAs follow the Homeowners' Association Act (§35-20) and the recorded CC&Rs. We draft the packet to the stricter of the declaration or statute and serve the member list you give us.

Lien Clock
No statutory 20-day prelim — lien window still runs
Alabama does not require a statutory 20-day preliminary notice for most private jobs. Lien rights still die if you miss the recording window after last work (§35-11-215). We serve a courtesy notice on owner and lender, then watch last-furnishing so the claim is not late.

Employer first report — 5 days typical
Report the injury to the carrier immediately. Alabama practice is a first report inside five days of knowledge. Death or overnight hospitalization still hits federal OSHA inside eight hours. We take intake, draft the first report, and chase the COI. We do not determine compensability.
