The Desk is the operating company behind Quorum, Lien Clock, and Keel. We serve boards, association counsel, general contractors, and employers in every U.S. state. The work is unglamorous on purpose: packets, statutory mail, injury intake, certificates. That is the work that, when it fails, becomes a special assessment, a voided lien, or a claim that should have been a strain.

Clients retain The Desk because the deadline already exists. We take the file, produce the draft, calendar the next clock, and store proof. Authorized personnel approve. We send. We do not replace counsel. We do not replace the carrier. We replace the Sunday-night scramble.

Why organizations retain us

  • Meetings that close

Boards vote with a packet, a statute watch, and correspondence already written. Quorum cuts the unpaid labor that makes good volunteers quit.

  • Notices that survive challenge

Lien Clock dates the mailing, names the owners of record, and keeps proof. Collections counsel inherit a file that can be defended.

  • Injury night, handled

Keel captures the first report while facts are still fresh. Late FROIs are how small incidents become large reserves.

  • Jobsites that stay open

Expired COIs stop work. Keel chases the certificate before the GC or the association has to.

  • One file, nationwide

The same operating standard in Florida, Texas, Arizona, and every other state. Local counsel still signs. The desk still runs.

The language of the firm

Short words. Hard clocks. This is how we talk — and how clients should hear us.

The Desk
That’s us. The operating company. Three practice lines. Fifty states. Clients don’t buy a chatbot. They retain a desk that puts a file in their hand.
BenefitOne engagement. No three-vendor shuffle. The record stays put.
Quorum
The clerk. This community. This month. Agenda, statute watch, vendor score, letters ready to send. The meeting still happens. The packet had better be there.
BenefitThe board votes. Volunteers stop rebuilding the binder on Sunday night.
Lien Clock
The statutory mail. Pre-lien. Meeting. Budget. Rule change. We date it, we draft it, we prove it went out. Counsel still records the lien. We make sure the notice was actually a notice.
BenefitDefective notice kills collections. This file survives a challenge.
Keel
Injury night and the expired gate. First-report draft. COI chase. Light-duty log. We don’t sell the policy. We don’t call the claim. We catch the facts while they’re still cheap.
BenefitThe report leaves on time. The jobsite stays open. A strain stays a strain.
Board Brief
Quorum’s monthly retainer. One association. One packet. Every month.
BenefitA president who can run the meeting in 45 minutes — not three hours.
Pre-lien packet
One delinquent account. This week. Notice draft, owner list, certified-mail checklist, next clock dated.
BenefitCollections start now — not after the next workshop.
FROI
First Report of Injury. The employer’s notice to the carrier — and the state, when the statute says so.
BenefitThe deadline is met. The story is taken once. No legal conclusion in the draft.
COI
Certificate of Insurance. Proof the vendor is covered before they work the property or the job.
BenefitExpired paper is found here — not at the gate, not by the GC.
